Hi, I’m Sofia Rhodes…

…the founder, owner and creator of Gan Eden ("Garden of Eden" in the original Hebrew) and I am on a mission to transform lives through holistic health empowerment! Born and raised in Miami, my college education in Economics and International Relations led me to work in Corporate Finance at a major financial institution in Charlotte, NC for five years after graduation. During this time, my passion for yoga and natural medicine took root and I became determined to pursue a career that would empower me to help others maximize their longevity and wellbeing. I became a certified yoga instructor and moved back to my hometown of Miami in 2012 to earn my Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine and a second Bachelors in Health Science. I am now a licensed acupuncture physician, fitness instructor and holistic health doctor serving my community in South Florida.

But the story doesn’t end there…

Working as an acupuncture physician for the elderly for several years made me realize that so much disease and pain could be prevented if people had more holistic health education at a younger age. The problem? They don’t teach any of this in school and the average person doesn’t even know what they don’t know! By the time people reach adulthood they are on a path toward premature aging, pain and disease. Where and how could I reach people to show them a different path? To save them from diabetes, arthritis, heart disease and so much more? To teach them about fitness, nutrition, acupuncture, traditional Chinese herbal medicine, gut health, and natural remedies? I realized I needed to reach people…AT WORK! At the place where they spend most of their time and energy! I thought to myself, “What if your workplace was the same place where you could get fitness instruction and health and wellness classes?” After all, the average person is already swamped with work and family responsibilities and doesn’t have much spare time to learn about this stuff and get a workout in, right?

I decided to be the change I wished to see when I worked in Corporate America. I wanted to feel cared about as a person and not just a number contributing to the company’s bottom line. I wanted my company to invest in me and make me healthier and happier both at work and in my life. I founded Gan Eden Corporate Wellness to help YOU, the busy “9 to 5” employee, to maximize your health and longevity help you live your best, most radiant life!
